Old Stuff

If you came here looking for…

My Resume

Counter to conventional wisdom of web development, which states that pages should exist for all time, I’ve removed my resume from my website. I’m not abandoning people who want to hire me though! Far from it. I simply want to point them to my web development company: Studio Green.

My Portfolio

This has also moved and, over time, will exclude work done by me when I worked at other companies. Please visit Studio Green’s Portfolio instead. That page will be updated and maintained moving forward.

A link to Visibone

Bob Stein has done a remarkable job creating printed resources for web designers. I highly recommend his products and you can obtain them from Visibone, his business website.

I’ve taken the following pages offline for various reasons:

My Resume

I’m gainfully employed at Spiceworks, a startup company that makes free IT management software for small and medium sized businesses. The company is run by smart people who do good things.

My Portfolio

I’ll bring this back at some point. I had a portfolio on my freelance site from when I was freelancing but that site is no more. Almost 2 1/2 years after I started working for Spiceworks, I finally took it offline.

Desktop Backgrounds

Many moons ago Rory Higgs and I took a day and created six desktop backgrounds using every trend we currently saw being overused in the design community. Zeldman liked them enough to link to them which was both cool and ironic. The largest size was 1024×768 though, which seems woefully lacking for today’s monitors. Besides, after seven years, the joke had gotten a little bit stale.

Bookmarks

The page was broken and I’ve since moved Delicious bookmarks to the homepage.

Photos

I never liked that plugin. It used Flash to display my photos from Flickr and it was in violation of Flickr’s ToS so out it went too. My photos are almost all of my family (and most of those of my little boy). You can visit my Flickr page if you want to see them.
